Born on January 2, 1963, Sankhajit Jana was formally trained at the Government College of Arts and Craft, Kolkata, from which a Bachelor of Visual Arts (B.V.A.) degree was obtained in 1988 with First Class distinction.

He hails from a small village in the Balasore District of Odisha. He was born into a middle-class family. His artistic journey is being shaped at Balasore Art and Craft College, where he is currently pursuing studies in the Department of Painting with a focus on Indian style.​​

Barsha is a dedicated visual artist and conservator with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and a Master’s in Museology from the prestigious Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to the preservation and celebration of Indian art and culture.
